0 = (1 – 1) + (1 – 1) + (1 – 1) + …
Okay so far? Now shift the parentheses:
0 = 1 + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1) + …
0 = 1 + 0 + 0 + 0 + …
0 = 1
